German Alpine Road: Bavaria's top panorama - perfect for a long weekend!
For all those who can't get enough of the impressive scenery of the Alps, this panoramic route is an absolute must. Germany's oldest vacation route, which was already discovered by the Bavarian King Maximilian II in 1858, combines first-class mountain driving fun, with impressive sights and varied landscapes and takes you on almost 500 kilometers from Lindau on Lake Constance to Schönau am Königssee in Berchtesgadner Land. In front of the impressive panorama of the Bavarian Alps, past quaint farming villages, historic towns and world-famous royal castles, it is above all the landscape rich in contrasts with the lush hills, orchards and alpine meadows of the Voraplpenland, as well as the lakes and rugged mountain peaks such as those of the Zugspitze, Germany's highest mountain.

In addition to several others, Germany's most winding road in particular, the "Oberjoch Passstrasse" in the Allgäu region, with 106 curves at an altitude of 300 meters, offers special mountain driving fun!
